Falling in love with you

This   is my very first page made for Robin's Nest DT and also all products- but letters- are RN products, I couldn't resist using my Cheery Lynn Designs dies on this page and wow- I love the result.
All the dies used here are the oldies but goodies, and I think somtimes it's great to be back with you favorite old tools again.
So here are the dies I used :
Picket fence- covered with some white Picket Fence paint
Speech Bubble #2 as my clouds
Embossing with Woodgrain Embossing plate and hand cut the trees
Using Little Scalloped Inverted Circle Stackers and Little Nested Circle Stackers for the trees
And finally those Dimentioanal Small Leaves under my photo
A piece of Tando Creative chipboard was added on the corner as I felt it's too " bare" there
I think it's a great fall page made with a lot of love

More bits and pieces with CLD dies

From time to time I collect all projects I did using CLD  fantastic dies- even if it's 2-3 dies only and make a post with some of them.. So this post is my new " collection" of projects using CLD dies, even if I used just one or 2- they make  the difference.
So here we go.
The first project was made with Waves border die for this fun summery lo - actaully this was a very first die I used on this DT and it's time to grab it back for use- summer is here and watery pages too.

I also added the cut sea shapes using this Sea shells border die and then I moved to cards and made this clean and simple card with a bit of a same die

This Prima oriented page was a bit bare- so I decided to add this huge Oriental  Butterfly Doily- cut several times and horray- the butterfly was just a perfect touch

And the last one- this page was made for Pretty Little Studio DT call- and I actually made the team, maybe because I used lots of CLD Little Nested Inverted  Scalloped Cirles cutting the home fabric prints

So as you can see here, CLD dies cut printers fabric just perfectly, try it too.
I have more and more to share, but I think it's just fine for this week.
What to try something similar? Go to our shop and pick some great dies too.
See you next week with more fun projects.

Made in China lo

A year and a half after our China vacation, and I still didn't scrap a single page from this one. Don't know why. Maybe the photos are not so great- it's was freezing cold there and I just couldn't click with 2 pairs of gloves-LOL..And maybe I am just not in this oriental mood yet. But this page was done and I called it - how obvious- MADE  IN CHINA. Just for a record: this vases are the original handmade ones, very expensive too, and not what we call " chinese stash" . So here it is- non patterned paper page, Core' dinations cardstock, some gridding, some embossing, embossed oriental image, cherry blossom flowers, some real chinese coins and some stamping- not much seen, I was afraid to ruin the page after it was done
I also enter this to Pucky Scraps Get picky challenge: I have not people photo, turquise, circles- coins
and staples.. Don't have red and stitching, but n 4 of 6 should be Ok for the first time

Our grandmom lo

This page was published in Scrapbooking . com  magazine September 2011 issue
This lo is my tribute to my very dear Mother in Low Flora. This is her last smiling photo   as since then she is moving just down the hill  and never smiles again. So those are 3 of my 4 kids  and  it had  to be in this vintage way. Bo Bunny papers, stickers and chipboards were the basic, but then I used my dear Cheery Lynn Designs dies and spent an hour in die cutting
I added this fantastic English Tea Party  Doily, French Pastry Doily, Border Carnivale, Tropical flourishes and  Judy's Blooms from  CLD.Then I needed a title and Tando Creaitve "MUM" was just perfect, but I don't like this English spelling- sorry dear Tando,I love all things British, but your spelling, so I covered the U with a MM metal accent to have this MOM instead
The chipboards were inked and then covered with 3D Ranger crackled glue- long dry time, but the result is so pretty
I also did this for some web challenges too

Beaded Strawberry tutorial

Beaded chipboard tutorial

I love bare chipboards: they make you to be creative and to find more and more unique ways to embellish them.. So this Strawberry mini album piece from Maya Road was a perfect piece to use my own (I did it about 3 years ago for the first time and I 've never seen this kind of work before ) technique of " Paint and Bead" chipboard embellishment.

So here we go

Supply list: Maya Road chipboard strawberry; Red and Green Acrylic paint- I used some Ranger and some Plaid, you can use whatever you have; Red, green and black seed beads- you can make a mix of the same red and green colors as I did; 3d Glaze- I used Ranger Glossy Accents, but as you need a lot of this medium you can pick a cheap brand in any craft shop.

Step 1: Underline the leaves over your strawberry shape

Step 2: Fill the shape with a lot of acrylic paint- the more the better as shown. You don't have time to clean your brush- so use two cheap kids brushes and try to clean them later

Step 3: Fill the wet paint with your beads- do it totally randomly and use some color mix, don't touch them, just add more to cover almost all the paint. As a last touch add some bigger black beads, not too much of them over the red ones.

Step 4: Cover the entire piece with a think layer of your 3D glaze. Leave it to dry- it takes ages, but the result is gorgeous. Now you can clean your paint brushes… LOL

Step 5: Your chipboard piece is ready to be used over your card or another art piece
I decided to show you the same piece added to my "So berry sweet" card and to my Strawberry Girl Forever lo… I am not sure where I am going to use it- I think I need another one done and thank to Maya Road this is a mini album, so I have more strawberries for my future use

Easy folded mini album tutorial

This tutorial was published on Craft Gossip

This very easy and quick mini album is a perfect for teen girls workshops, quick last minute homemade
gift or can be used as a gift card holder

Step 1

Take one single piece of 12*12'' double sided patterned paper and score it first to half, and then open and score again to 3 thirds as shown on picture #1 . Now keep it opened over you cutting mat

Step 2

Make 2 single cuts as shown on the picture #2 –you just cut above and under section #2

Step 3

Fold the paper beginning from section 3 over section 6, and then fold it again over section 5

Now fold section 1 over section 4 and again over section 5 where the previous fold was done as shown on picture #3

Step 4 and a last one

Make some decorative cut on section #2: use your decorative scissors, make a template from your cutting die or do it just a free hand. Now fold this last cut section over the previous folds and make some closure. You can use ribbons, magnet, double sided scotch or whatever you have at home

Your mini is done, now go and add some pictures, embellishments, journaling or just put your gift card inside and add some greetings

And now a my finished project to show
